Saffi Vette Interview: Talking Olympic qualification, training for Teahupo’o and dealing with unexpected injury with New Zealand’s newest Olympian

The 2023 ISA World Surfing Games saw many fascinating storylines play out, but one of the tightest battles came down to New Zealand teammates Paige Hareb and Saffi Vette, with Saffi making heat after heat thanks to seemingly endless buzzer beaters and finally claiming the Olympic slot up for grabs for the Oceania region.

This week Shan and Rach talk to Saffi about that crazy week in El Salvador and everything that has followed, including an Olympic training camp in Tahiti that resulted in injury.
